We are proud of our service record across the world - where we respond to people in priority need from war-torn Ukraine to victims of famine, droughts and natural disasters.
Financial support is distributed between local Rotary clubs in affected areas - so we know where the money goes and that it will be used where it's most wanted.
We have supported organisations such as Macmillan nurses and the Heart Foundation, bought medical equipment for local doctors, hospitals, hospices, first response teams and air ambulance as well as cutting equipment for our local Fire Service.
The series of projects typically include:
Prostate screening for men aged between 45 and 79 years
Whitchurch Rotary's prostate screening initiative has helped to save several lives since it was introduced in 2015.
Over 1000 men attended the club's free prostate screening evening in October 2025 to have their PSA tested.
Christmas meals
Rotarians prepare and deliver more than 120 hot meals on Christmas Day for elderly and vulnerable people.
Canal boat trips
The Lineal Trust supports Rotary's canal boat trips for community groups.
Flower beds
Rotary, in partnership with Inner Wheel, maintains many of the town's colourful flower beds.
Fundraising
The club runs a series of fundraising events and activities throughout the year, including car boot sales, Christmas float tour and Tree of Light dedications. These top-up our charity account to support town projects and youth groups.
