Our annual Christmas meals - prepared and delivered by club members – are made from ingredients donated by local food businesses.
Each Christmas morning we distribute more than 120 hot lunches and gifts to elderly and disabled people who may not eat much else, or see anyone, that day.
As far as we know it’s a totally unique Rotary service in the UK. The origins are back in 1957 when the club distributed Christmas food parcels and occasional supplies of coal and logs. That ended around 1963 and the Christmas lunches were stepped up the following year.
